Udochi is a platform for Artists and Art lovers to experience the Arts of Africa and her Diaspora, its origins, its meaning, the people who created it and the context in which they are created then and now.

By telling their stories, imagining their worlds, we hope to feel their joy, sympathize with their pain and sorrows, in a safe place, relive their realities, you know those that our own souls can bear. We will cry at their trials, rejoice in their triumphs, we hope that by doing so, we can continue their journey, our journey of healing ourselves and our souls.

As we honor them and celebrate their strength, they will in turn join their strength with ours, their faith with ourselves as we win the battles that the left behind, let their passion move us as we dance to the rhythm of their hearts and live the dreams they dreamt, as we dream even bigger for the enrichment of humanity and our world.

Welcome to Udochi. Welcome Home.

We kick off this summer with the popup markets across New York City. We will be selling African food, Herbal Teas and Spices made here in New York.

Artisan products such as Hand Painted apparels including scarves, shawls, t-shirts made from sustainable sourced materials. Organic teas made mainly from herbs sourced from Indigenous communities. Everything is blended here in New York City.

As always getting you the best ingredients grown in their indigenous lands is our priority. Why? Research has proven that herbs are more potent if grown in their native lands and so are wild herbs.

We source our herbs locally from New York City. We also use herbs and ingredients from indigenous communities from African countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Egypt, Mail and Guinea.

Small farmers, mainly women who are indigenous to their communities’ supply most of our herbs and ingredients from Africa.

African Food

We offer Experiences and Courses that teach Cuisines inspired by Africa and created from African ingredients from all over the World.

Our events feature food that is made by people from indigenous communities, Africa and African Diaspora. Cuisines include authentic African classics and those that are inspired by Africa utilizing seasonal herbs, spices, grains and legumes, not to mention yams sourced here in New York City, whenever possible. Enforcing our commitment to local farmers and farms run by women and Indigenous communities.

We bring to you the freshest ingredients from the amazing local farmers that are still maintaining a collaborative relationship with the plants, fishes and animals that they farm and earth and seas on which they farm them.

We offer Courses that teach Cuisines inspired by Africa, crafted with locally sourced and often grown ingredients. We love to cook and what better way to share our cultures by sharing recipes passed down through generations what feature key ingredients indigenous to the African continent.
